This report corresponds to the author’s large-scale, ongoing project, The politics of care in the professional education of children gifted for music (2022–2027), based at the Sibelius Academy and funded by the Research Council of Finland. The research addresses the inexplicably understudied goal of ethical education for children gifted for music, who are typically involved in music education aimed at professional careers. --
